MCA FALL AcAdemIES

MCA is once again holding our series of Fall Academies! These 1.5 hour long sessions span 6 weeks and are designed to help both beginner and intermediate players improve their skills in a clinic like setting. Academies are meant as prep for the upcoming club season for more seasoned players as well as serve as an introduction to more competitive volleyball for beginners.

Beginner Academy (boys and girls) - looking to get started on your volleyball journey? The Beginner Academy is meant to get players started with the basic techniques and skills necessary to play volleyball at the competitive level in the future. Passing, hitting, setting, blocking, and serving will all be covered with the emphasis on correct basic form and learning the terminology of the game.

Intermediate Academy (boys and girls) - Interested on working all the fundamentals of the game but have some time on the court already? The Intermediate Academy is designed for players who have some experience in the game (i.e. a club season or two) and want to work on keeping their skills sharp going into club season. While all general skills will be covered players will have the opportunity to focus on aspects associated with the game most relevant for their chosen position.
